Teaching Experience
I started my teaching career in 2004 teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) in South Korea. For the next couple of years I found myself educating all ages, from pre-school students to adults, and absolutely loved it! In 2006, I returned to Kelowna and began teaching Science 10 and Biology 11 at Rutland Senior Secondary. Then in 2007, I moved my classroom to West Kelowna to teach math and science (grade 7-9) at Constable Neil Bruce Middle School for the next two years. In 2009, I moved (once again) to teach math and science (grade 8 & 9) at KLO Middle School for two years until my final move to Davidson Road Elementary.
Favourite Things To Do
My all time favourite thing to do is travel. After I finished university I decided to go traveling for six months before I started teaching. I loved it so much that six months turned into five years! During those five years I saw eleven different countries.

- an elephant safari in the jungles of northern Thailand
- river tubing down the Mekong river in Laos
- motorbiking 1200km across northern Vietnam
- visiting the ancient city of Angkor Wat in Cambodia
- seeing the tallest building in the world (at the time) the Petronas Towers in Malaysia
- watching a World Cup soccer match in Korea
- climbing the Great Wall of China
- visiting Tokyo in Japan
- going for a month long hike in the Himalayan mountains in India
- snorkeling with reef sharks in the Maldives
- and my favourite...eating some of the weirdest food imaginable (such as rat, cat, goat, yak, live octopus, shark, barracuda, snake, crocodile, frog, and insects)
